What is a long-term timelapse?
A long-term timelapse video is a video that shows the extensiveevolution of an event at a very fast rate. The process can take four years, yet the long-term timelapse video is only four minutes.
How long can VISIOLAB capture a long-term timelapse?
Our long-term timelapse equipment are strong sturdy and weatherproof. We can capture a long-term timelapse for years, ensuring a comprehensive visual representation of your project’s evaluation.
What equipment is involved in recording VISIOLAB’s long-term timelapse videos?
Our usual setup for long-term timelapse videos involves our own system that we develop, assemble, and mobilize on site. We call it Eternalapse™.
The system is wireless and cloud based. Therefore, all photos are uploaded to our cloud storage, and it can be configured remotely. It is highly suitable to be installed on construction sites, as it is solar powered and independent of power source. As long as there is sunlight and 4G connection, we can deploy it.
Where should the equipment be installed?
Our team will recce the site and review the construction plans and schedule. We will then determine what would be the best vantage point to capture the long-term timelapse, as these devices are typically left in the same position for the whole construction period to get the best output.
It would be great if there is a stationary tall and sturdy structure on site where we can install the system.
What videos will be delivered to me, and in what format?
The footages are in photo format, taken at intervals. Combined, it will become a timelapse video that is composed in a fast pace.
What post-production services does VISIOLAB offer for long-term timelapse videos?
The footages gathered will be composed together into video, usually in a documentary format, or even just a regular monthly progress update video. The best practice is to complement the timelapse with other types of shots such as aerial and ground footage.
